The Applegarth Volunteer Engine Company #1 (AVEC1) is located at 130 Applegarth Road in Monroe Township, NJ. We are 100% volunteer, and have been around for 50 years! Our mission is the protection, preservation and well-being of the health, safety, and property of all persons residing, working, or visiting Monroe Township. We are able to accomplish these goals through education, prevention and fire suppression. We also provide support for our neighboring towns and our paid departments such as Monroe Township Fire District # 2 – STATION 57 located at 10 Hasley Reed Road.
Our members come from many different backgrounds. We are…students, teachers, office workers, construction workers, New York commuters, gas attendants, mechanics, current and retired military personnel, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters and much more. We all share a common interest in protecting and serving our rapidly growing community. Our station becomes stronger with every new member we receive. If you are interested in joining, please see our post below!
